G’day and welcome to Boomerang.

When I founded Boomerang in 1995, the idea was very simple.

I had spent years working in leisure centres and I kept seeing the same thing — parents, especially mums with young children, looking for somewhere safe and friendly where their children could burn off energy while they could sit down, have a coffee and relax for a moment.

Parenting is hard work. Children have endless energy. Parents often have none left!

So the idea behind Boomerang was to create a place where both children and parents could enjoy themselves at the same time.

A place where children could climb, slide, bounce, explore and play.

And where parents could sit down, meet friends, enjoy good food and coffee, and take a breather.

The very first Boomerang sessions were simple inflatable play sessions in leisure centres. They were so popular that I realised families needed something bigger — a dedicated place for family time.

That’s how Boomerang began.

Since then we’ve had plenty of ups and downs — economic recessions, heatwaves, lockdowns and even losing land we’d built a swimming pool on!

But through all of it, one thing has remained constant:

our customers.

Families who have visited us for generations.

Children who once came to play and now return with their own children.

Your support has allowed Boomerang to keep growing, improving and evolving for nearly 30 years.

And we’re not finished yet.

We’ve exciting new ideas and attractions still to come — all designed to make Boomerang the best place possible for families to spend time together.
